Description:
This classic beauty sails as good as it looks and is now the largest monohull in our rental fleet. With all new electronics, it will also be ideal for teaching the advanced courses, i.e. ASA 104 Bareboat Chartering, ASA 106 Advanced Coastal Cruising and Basic Ocean Sailing.
Comparative shoal draft (board up) makes it a great bay boat, and sea-kindly hull makes it a great ocean boat. Extra nice condition throughout. Recently repowered with a beefy Yanmar, it has plenty of power. Sailing performance is excellent. Relatively narrow beam and heavy ballast, along with a generous sail plan with a beautifully-cut genoa and fully battened main, this boat hauls in a decent breeze. The corpses of late model Catalinas and Hunters are "all over the Bay", after challenging this oldie but goodie. .
Cockpit will fit 6+ people. Cruising accommodations for 5 or more.
