Description:
The Starwind 27 is an all-around successful design.  It boasts good looks, easy handling, and ample speed.  A true compact yacht, it has all the systems as well as the handling characteristics of a large modern yacht.  For that reason it makes a good trainer for those planning to buy a larger boat or those planning to charter a larger bareboat.

The cockpit is comfortable for five and the cabin provides cruising accomodations for up to five people. A well-laid-out cockpit with wheel steering make this boat easy to sail by two, even if the crew member is inexperienced.  It is one of the most well-mannered sailboats under power that we have ever seen -- backing is a snap and the steering is very quick.  For docking or picking up a mooring, it is as easy as it gets.  The spaciousness below-decks is welcome.  Standing headroom and the privacy of separate cabins are features which cruisers find appealing.  Ship aboard the Starwind for a truly pleasurable experience -- easy to dock and to sail, and one of the best looking boats on the water.
