Description:
Another boat from our favorite designer, Carl Alberg. Our guess
is that 100 years from now, the Alberg designs will still be appreciated
and copied.
The Cape Dory line is a group of rugged and practical vessels, not unlike the Bristols. They emphasize strength, excellent sailing and sea-keeping ability, and understated good looks. Our Typhoon is a very clean and good looking boat, with some teak to "dress it up". The cockpit is on the small side, with room for up to 3 or 4. The full keel makes this boat a forgiving sailer, and the heavy ballast (for a 19 footer) allows it to stand up to boisterous condition.
