Description:
The Watkins 27 is a beefy and beamy boat which seems much larger than her size.  Has the interior room of a 30 footer.  The cockpit will fit six, and crusing with up to five is possible.  The Watkins has forgiving sailing characteristics and is fast on a reach.  When reefed down and with a small headsail, the sea-kindly hull provides safe, dry,  and comfortable sailing in considerable winds.

The Watkins 27 is much admired by the loyal group of Watkins owners.  It is a "shippy" boat with strength, a powerful engine, and  salty looks.  Shoal draft of under 3'8" makes shallower areas of the bay accessible.  Anchoring system via bow pulpit makes this a great cruiser and "gunkholer". Amenities include enclosed head, pressure water system, shower, standing headroom for anybody shorter than an NBA center.
